Washington Wizards superstar John Wall was a guest on All The Smoke podcast hosted by former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. During the interview, the five-time NBA All-Star shared his impression on Derrick Rose during his MVP season. According to Wall, the 22-year-old then-Chicago Bulls point guard was the toughest player he has ever played.

Via Ashish Mathur of ClutchPoints:

“Toughest player I’ve ever played in my life. Man when I tell you it was nothing you could do. We’ve never seen a guy be that fast & that athletic but have one of the best floaters we’ve ever seen.”

In his MVP season, Rose averaged 25 points, 4.1 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 1 steals per game for the Bulls. Chicago finished the 2010-2011 regular season atop the Eastern Conference with a 62-20 record. The Bulls went to the Eastern Conference Finals, eventually losing to the Miami Heat.
