The comparison between LeBron James and Michael Jordan is not that simple, because the two played in different eras. Sports analyst Shannon Sharpe thinks the Los Angeles Lakers superstar would have been fine in the ’80s due to his physical build and abilities.

“LeBron broke up a lot of dynasties: the Bad Boy Pistons 2, Big 3 Celtics and forced the Warriors to beg KD. You’re talking about a man who is 6′ 9″, built like the Mailman and can handle the ball like Magic… He would’ve been fine,” Sharpe said on UNDISPUTED.

NBA basketball in the ’80s was more physical, with referees allowing much more contact than it is the norm today. Jordan had to struggle with very physical defenses of the Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks and other teams.
