Khimik Yuzhne’s game at home against Alba Berlin was postponed and rescheduled in the space of 24 hours as heavy snowstorms in the Ukraine prevented the game being played on time. The full fourth round of Last 32 games though has now been completed.
Group I
Pinar Karsiyaka comfortably defeated Cantu 93-80 in Izmir. The Turkish side were dominant in the first half as they led 62-39 at half-time and never looked back.
A monster double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds from Esteban Batista led the way for Pinar Karsiyaka. Bobby Dixon added 22 points for the winners.
Joe Ragland had 19 points for Cantu.
Group J
Aykon Ankara caused a little surprise when they ousted Brose Baskets 94-84 in Bamberg.
Kristaps Valters had 26 points and seven assists to lead the Turkish side who are now 3-1 at top of the group. Bamberg are 2-2.
Group K
Khimki became the first team to qualify for the eighth-finals after they romped to a 106-85 win over CEZ Nymburk in Moscow.
Egor Vyaltsev scored 18 points to lead seven Khimki scorers in double figures as a 19-0 run late in the first quarter and into the second period sealed the deal as the Russians led 54-32 at the half and the Czechs were always playing catch up.
Montepaschi Siena secured its first win of the Eurocup season with a 92-73 home win over Maccabi Haifa.
Matthew Janning hit 34 points and seven three-pointers for Siena who still have a long way to go as far as qualification goes but are still off the mark. Maccabi go to 2-2.
Group L
Nizhny Novgorod eased past Bilbao 81-65 to stay top of Group L, as a 19-0 run bridging the first and second quarters proved key to the Russian side’s success.
Taylor Rochestie paced the winners with 18 points and 6 assists.
Red Star Belgrade got a well-earned 78-66 win over Panionios in Athens.
Rasko Katic led the winners with 19 points as they improve to 3-1 while the Greeks are all but mathematically out of the running for the eighth-finals.
Group M
Budivielnik Kiev edged Hapoel Jerusalem 96-93 in a game dominated by free throws in the last 20 seconds, which Kiev got the edge with.
DaJuan Summers led the winners with 21 points as they stay in the hunt for a spot in the eigth-finals.
BK Banvit ended a two-game skid with a straightforward 81-65 success over Union Olimpija as their form away from Ljubljana shows no signs of getting better.
EJ Rowland led Banvit with 22 points as they move to 2-2 and drop the Slovenians to 1-3.
Group N
After being stuck on the other side of the Ukraine for 24 hours and getting their first game postponed, Alba Berlin made use of the extra day to qualify for the eighth-finals by beating Khimik Yuzhne 68-65 in overtime.
Reggie Redding paced Berlin with 15 points as they had to rally back late in the fourth to force overtime. The Germans had enough to get the win.
Radnicki scored the 92-82 win over Strasbourg as they hit 13 three-pointers, en route to their first win of the Last 32.
Milos Dimic hit 10 points from the foul line on his way to 19 points for the victors.
Group O
Unics Kazan got back to winning ways and got a measure of revenge as they beat Telenet Ostend 69-63 at the Basket Hall Kazan.
The Russians go 3-1 in the group but more importantly, takes the points differential should it come to that. Ostend drops to 2-2.
Andrew Goudelock led Kazan with 27 points.
Stelmet Zielona Gora collected its first win of the Last 32 with an 82-77 win over Valencia.
While the Liga Endesa side are the nearest challengers to Real Madrid domestically, they’re failing to fire in Europe as they drop to 2-2 and have to work hard to qualify to the next round.
Christian Eyenga finished with 16 points to lead the Poles.
Group P
Cedevita Zagreb ended Besiktas’ unbeaten run in the Last 32, winning 58-55 in Istanbul.
After enduring heartbreaking losses in previous weeks, Allen Ray made sure it was not to happen again as he blocked a potential game-tying three-pointer to give the Croats the win.
Ray and Luka Babic each scored 9 points to lead Cedevita to the win.
