The Lithuanian League LKL has announced details of the Beko LKL All Star, which will be held at the Svyturio arena in Klaipeda on Sunday, March 2.

The game, as previously announced, reverts to the East versus West format, a formula which had not been used since 1998, with Eastern stars claiming victory that season 100-85.

This will be the second time that the Beko LKL All Stars travels to Klaipeda, just two years after the first time (2012).

The 3-hour event will start at 16:00 local time and will also feature the 3-point and dunks contests, together with musical performances from several bands.

Event tickets are already on sale from 25 to 59 litas, at www.bilietai.lt and fans can vote to select players through the LKL Office Website until February 5.

Lithuanian League Director General Romualdas Brazauskas, who held a press conference in Klaipeda together with LKL Marketing Director Linas Gilys, said that “the fact that Klaipeda wanted to host this event is no coincidence: the region’s population loves basketball and the pleasure to meet the stars. Two years ago, when the All Star was first held in Klaipeda, it was a sold out, the arena was packed.”
