John Wall surprised doctors and nurses in Washington D.C. and North Carolina by donating 2,300 masks and 600 Chick-Fil-A meals.

The donations were made to UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina (Wall’s hometown), and MedStar Washington Hospital Center in D.C. in Wall’s late mother’s honor.

His mother Frances passed away from breast cancer last December and received the majority of her care at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, then spent her final days at UNC Rex Hospital.

“I just wanted to thank you all for all the great work you’re doing,” Wall told doctors and nurses at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. “I was happy to be able to donate additional masks to you all in memory of my mom, Frances Pulley. She did a lot of her chemotherapy there and I wanted to thank you all for all the great work you did by supporting her there and all the great work you’re doing to help people fight COVID-19. Keep up the great work.”

In a video on Instagram, Wall showed his support to the workers on the front line at the two hospitals.

“Thank you will never be enough for all that you have done and continue to do!!” Wall’s caption read.
