“The Last Dance” two series premiere episodes are the most-viewed ESPN documentary content ever, averaging 6.1 million viewers.

The debut episode averaged 6.3 million viewers, while the second episode averaged 5.8 million viewers.

Of the average 6.1 million viewers, 3.5 million were in the demographic age range of 18-49.

ESPN had originally scheduled “The Last Dance” to air in June, but due to the coronavirus pandemic shutdown, its debut was moved up two months.

That decision paid off in the current sports-starved world.
