The New York Knicks have been tweeting their best plays from their stunning run to the NBA Finals in 1999.

They had a disappointing regular season but snuck into the postseason with a 27-23 record. They then upset the top seeded Miami Heat after Allan Houston hit the game-winning shot to give them a 78-77 victory in Game 5 of the series.

New York swept the Atlanta Hawks in the next round setting up a showdown with the rival Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Knicks lost Patrick Ewing after Game 2 due to an achilles injury. In Game 3 Larry Johnson’s four-point play in the finals seconds lifted New York to a 92-91 victory.

New York beat Indiana in six games but ultimately ran out of magic and fell to the San Antonio Spurs in five games in the NBA Finals. Still, it was an incredible run for the underdog Knicks.
