The Chicago Bulls made clear that they will move on fully restructuring their front office under new VP of basketball operations Arturas Karnisovas.

As a result, the organization officially announced that John Paxson is moving into a senior advisory role and he will not involved with the team on a daily basis. Paxson served the organization from several roles the last three decades, but now the franchise decided to move into a new direction.

“I’ve always tried to do what was best for our organization and put our team in position to succeed, and ultimately compete. I know Arturas will do the same. He brings the kind of talent, experience and commitment to collaboration that will allow him to succeed,” Paxson said on Arturas Karnisovas.

Gar Forman – the longtime partner of Paxson in the Bulls front office – will also be relieved from his duties as a general manager. Forman came to the Bulls in 1998 with Tim Floyd as a scout and was named Bulls’ GM in 2009.
