Former NBA champion and Finals MVP (2004), Chauncey Billups, believes that if the Pistons drafted Carmelo Anthony as second overall back in 2003, they would have had three championships.
It’s a different opinion because ex-Pistons center Ben Wallace stated that his former team would have never won a championship if they had picked Carmelo Anthony in 2003.
“If we would’ve drafted Carmelo, I honestly don’t think we would ever win a championship,” Wallace said on the 120 Watts podcast.
