Teodosic confident that he will be in Slovenia

Serbia point guard Milos Teodosic is realistic about his involvement at Eurobasket in two weeks time.

After suffering a tibia injury while playing for CSKA Moscow in late-May, Teodosic has undergone intense rehabilitation and was expected to return well in time for Eurobasket.

The process however has taken longer than usual but Serbia’s veteran leader is confident he’ll board the plane to Slovenia.

Talking to b92.net, Teodosic said: “It is realistic for me to be in Slovenia. How much I will be able to contribute to the team, I do not know at this point.

“I have a huge desire to be with them there, whether it is just 10 minutes or 15, I do not know really, but I also would not like to predict.

“I would like to play in Slovenia and I hope to be there.”

The 26-year-old has been training with the squad as they prepare for Eurobasket, but has yet to appear in any warm-up games thus far, their last game was a surprise 75-71 loss to outsiders Georgia in France.

Serbia travel to Istanbul to play in a four-team tournament along with Turkey, Croatia and Belgium, which starts on Friday.
