The general manager of the Indiana Pacers Chad Buchanan will not be among the candidates for the Bulls’ top basketball operations position, as he declined an interview with the team, per Shams Charania.

Charania reports that Buchanan expressed nothing but positivity and appreciation for the Bulls, but he and his family are opted in to stay in Indiana.

Since Buchanan took over as GM of the Pacers in 2017, Indiana has had a .590 win percentage and was on track to reach the playoffs for a third consecutive season.

The Bulls are in the market to hire a new NBA basketball operative and have put together a list of candidates that includes Toronto Raptors GM Bobby Webster and Denver Nuggets GM Arturas Karnisovas among others.
