Maciulis signs new 2-year deal with Panathinaikos

Lithuanian Jonas Maciulis has agreed a new two-year deal with Panathinaikos, keeping him in Athens until the summer of 2015.

Maciulis averaged 10.1 points and hit 40 percent of his three-point shots last season as the Greeks were denied a Final Four spot by Barcelona but fought back to win the Greek A1 title by beating Olympiacos in a series marred by crowd trouble.

Maciulis was the only player on the Panathinaikos roster to start all 29 games in the Euroleague last season.

A Lithuanian and Baltic league champion with Zalgiris, Maciulis joined EA7 Milano in 2009 for two seasons, averaging double figures in points. He is a key figure in the Lithuanian national side also and is expected to don the green and yellow at Eurobasket in Slovenia this September.
