Spanish NT head coach Sergio Scariolo believes that moving the Olympic games to 2021 could allow Pau Gasol to compete for the fifth time in his career in the respective competition.
“This actually gives him a better chance of making it,” said Spain’s head coach via “Tiempo de Juego”. “This summer might have been a stretch, but with one more season ahead he can get back on the court and be as close as possible to the Olympic Games.”
The Tokyo games were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, while Gasol will continue to rehabilitate from a left foot injury.
