CSKA Moscow adds Jeremy Pargo

CSKA Moscow announced today the signing of Jeremy Pargo who was linked with the Russian giants for a while now.

The 27-year-old American point guard spent the end of last season with Philadelphia 76ers. He also has Euroleague experience having previously played for Maccabi.

Pargo had several interesting offers so far this summer and decided to accept a reportedly generous 2-year deal with the Moscow side.

Andrey Vatutin, CSKA President:

It was very important for us to strengthen the point guard position. We consider Pargo to be the optimal candidate on the market this summer. He played big roles in the NBA last couple of seasons, besides he has good experience of playing in Europe. Jeremy sees the floor well, he is aggressive, he can defend. After the season overseas he drew big interest from American and European clubs. I am happy that he chose CSKA.

Ettore Messina, CSKA head coach:

I am very happy to welcome Jeremy on our team. Over the years in Europe and United States he displayed strong personality and talent. He will definitely help us with his toughness, leadership and ability to play pick-n-roll. I am sure that he will be a good addition to our team.
