LeBron James reveals what it would take to get ready for the Playoffs after season suspension

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James joined the Road Trippin Podcast to talk about the NBA lockdown and it would take for him to get ready for the Playoffs.

According to the 35-year-old All-Star, a mini training camp and at least 5-10 regular season games would be needed for the players to get back in shape. The King denied the notion of some people who say that the season suspension is good for players who can rest. At least for him that’s not the case, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN:

“My body was like, ‘Hey man, what the hell is going on? It’s March 13th, you’re getting ready for the playoffs, why are you shutting down right now?’ And I was right there turning the corner, like, I felt like I was rounding third base, getting ready for the postseason.

“So, the rest factor, I think it’s a little bit overly blown. Especially when you’re in the full swing of things.”

James also noted that it would not be fair going straight to the Playoffs. “One thing you can’t just do is go straight to the Playoffs,” he said. “Because it discredits the 60-plus games that guys had fighting for that position.”
