On the latest episode of the TV show First Take, Stephen A. Smith and Max Kellerman debated whether Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is the best player in the world.
“LeBron is the best player in the world. [He is] Top 2 candidate for the League MVP again. [Lakers] are ranked No. 29 in offense when LeBron is off the court, No. 2 offense, when he’s on the court,” Smith said.
“Kawhi Leonard ain’t on this brother [LeBron] level in terms of the total package. Kawhi Leonard is an elite player, he’s a two time champion, two times NBA Finals MVP, he’s one of the top 5 basketball players in the world. But LeBron James is the best player in the planet right now,” he added.
