Kai Sotto is a 7-foot-2 high school phenom who has dreams of becoming the first NBA player who was born in the Philippines.

Sotto wants to show that his native “Philippines is part of the basketball world.”

His ultimate dream is to make it to the NBA and represent the Philippines on the international stage.

Sotto has already represented the Philippines at the junior level at the FIBA 2019 U19 World Cup, 2018 U18 Asian Championship, 2018 U17 World Cup and 2018 U16 Asian Championship.

He also attended the 2020 Basketball Without Borders camp.

Sotto attends The Skill Factory in Atlanta, Georgia and is ranked 68th in the ESPN 100, 70th in the Rivals 150 and 51st in 247Sports rankings.

However, Sotto is leaning toward skipping college to entirely focus on training for the 2021 NBA Draft, sources have told Rivals.com.
