Golden State Warriors are not expected to have coronavirus testing unless they show symptoms of the virus.

This news comes a few hours after the announcement that three members of the Philadelphia 76ers, who faced the Warriors 12 days ago at Chase Center, tested positive for the virus.

“Despite Thursday’s news that three members of the 76ers organization have tested positive for the coronavirus, the Warriors currently have no plans to test players or staff who aren’t showing symptoms of the respiratory illness.

“This situation is constantly evolving,” a team spokesman said. “But as of now, we’re not testing asymptomatic players,” Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Multiple NBA players have been tested positive for the coronavirus so far. The league has suspended the season for at least 30 days.
