Wes Matthews returned to Milwaukee the past offseason, playing in front of the hometown fanbase. Matthews, born and raised in Wisconsin, he has played in Marquette for four seasons before entering the NBA.
The undrafted veteran underlined the great importance of playing for his hometown at this stage of his career. Furthermore, he is an important piece of the Bucks’ winning season, with Milwaukee leading the NBA record-wise being the best team in the league.
Matthews provided Milwaukee with the necessary spacing, shooting 36.5% from deep. He is also a legitimate 3-and-D player being a great perimeter defender.
