Phoenix Suns rookie Cameron Johnson has been diagnosed with Mononucleosis and will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
Johnson, the 11th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, is averaging 8.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game, while shooting 39.7 percent from three-point.
Recently, Johnson has been getting more playing time in the Suns’ rotation, as Kelly Oubre Jr. has been out after undergoing surgery on his meniscus.
Johnson also previously missed 15 games this season due to a variety of injuries including a right quad contusion, left calf soreness and left hip soreness.
The Suns also announced that Frank Kaminsky will remain out as he continues to progress from a right patella stress fracture.
He will have a follow-up consultation this week.
Kaminsky has been sidelined since Dec. 28.
