Palacio joins Rytas, Radosevic returns to Milan

Lietuvos Rytas reinforced its backourt by adding veteran point guard Milt Palacio, who started the season in Israel with Bnei Hasharon.

Rytas will be the 14th team for the 34-year-old Belizean/American. Palacio was brought to Europe by the famous Partizan scouting department. He helped the team reach Last 8 of Euroleague in 2007-2008 season and earned himself MVP of the month award for March 2008.

Lithuanian runners-up are having on the worst seasons in club’s history. Rytas are currently on three game losing streak in LKL and VTB league.

Meanwhile, Croatian center Leon Radosevic, who was on loan from EA7 Milano until the end of season, returns to Italy. Sergio Scariolo’s side decided to bring the player back to club before the loan expired.

Radosevic saw his role increase gradually at Rytas. He averaged 10 points per game in 21 minutes of play in Euroleague for the Vilnius side.

Martynas Purlys, Director of Lietuvos Rytas, told to SportIN.lt that the club will look to replace Radosevic with another player. He also hinted that more changes are likely to take place at the club.
