You read that correctly. Sheldon McClellan, an un-drafted rookie in 2016 – fresh out of the University of Miami laced up to play one on one against prime John Wall. Wall averaged 2.0 steals per game that year and be some was perceived as one of the best two way players in the NBA. However, that day – McClellan doubled down on his odds to defeat John Wall one on one with the score still being unknown.

McClellan stands at 6’6, a few inches taller than John Wall, he is currently apart of the Canton Charge in the G-League. That game definitely put Sheldon’s name into the headlines for a bit and for the Wizards gave a glimpse of hope that they might’ve found a gem fallen deep among the haystack. He is still only 27 years old, a great age to continue to pursue basketball – while John Wall prepares to help Bradley Beal compete for a playoff spot next year, as he is sitting out rehabilitating his ACL injury he suffered a season ago.
