Saric eventually signs with Cibona

Croatian prodigy Dario Saric found a new team. Despite being wanted by a number of European powerhouses, Saric chose a club from his homeland.

Saric wanted to get an important role in his new team as well as have an option to leave for the NBA once the right offer comes his way.

The €550,000 price-tag to get Saric from his former club Split made the interested parties more cautious especially as regards to the possibility of losing the player without getting much in return.

Cibona is currently playing in Eurocup after losing its Euroleague spot before the 2011-2012 season. Reigning Croatian champions are at the bottom of Group G with 0-3 record.

Saric is likely to get significant playing time in his new team. The details of the deal are yet to be unveiled.
