One step beyond

Cajasol Seville defeats Orleans Loiret 84-78 in the fourth round of Eurocup and keeps the second place in the Group H. Brian Asbury and Caleb Green were the best players on the court.

There was a feeling that Cajasol Seville could win the game easily, because of the bad defense performed by Orleans, but in the end it was not easy at all. The visiting team always managed to be only five points behind, and even ended the first half leading 35-33.

The second half started very good for the local team, which got a fast lead thanks to Asbury and Satoransky. Robert Dozier did a great job dealing with four personal fouls during the whole second half. This guy is helping this team a lot, and in every game his leadership in the paint is growing bigger.

Anyway, Orleans Loiret continued to fight until the end. Despite being a not very talented team, they played with heart. It seems strange that this team places at the bottom of the French league, because they really desire to win. They even overcome a technical foul called to Caleb Green when the team was playing its best to diminish an 8-points advantage to the local team.

Jahmar Young and Brian Greene hit a few three-pointers to be only a couple of points behind, but it was a losing effort in the end. Brian Asbury (today it had to be him) took the ball the last 3 minutes and scored everything, playing some kind of Asbury-system to avoid Orleans taking the win back to France.
