Los Angeles Clippers’ Patrick Patterson talked to media ahead of the game against the Lakers on Sunday.

On the Clippers’ season

PP: “It’s been a lot of fun. It’s been a process. What stands out is the players and the coaches on this team. The experiences they all have under the belt. The hard work and the overall attitude and demeanour that we carry every day. But the No. 1 thing is that each and every guy is human off the court, a good guy to be around, a family man, jokesters. It makes this journey all worth it every single day to spend around them.”

On playing limited games altogether

PP: “I wouldn’t say it’s hurt. Although we lost some games we felt like we should have won, it’s a learning process. We’re not going to be perfect. Even though that’s what we’re trying to strive for, it’s to get to our perfection. We’re still not there yet. We’re starting to get there.”

On Marcus Morris and Reggie Jackson’s strengths

PP: “Marcus’ ability to score. Of course, everyone knows about his toughness, his physicality. His ability to guard multiple wings, multiple guards, multiple forwards in the post. Reggie’s’ overall basketball IQ. Another person who can handle the ball, another person who can work the pick and roll, score, puts the ball in transition and also play great defense… They just add so much different diversity. They add so many different dynamics to the team that we didn’t have before.”

On how to close out the regular season

PP: “Just get better every day. Practice game-time situations. Continue to focus on our identity and build off of that and just worry about staying healthy, staying focused and staying together.”
