Former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade, via Men’s Health, shares the financial advice he learned during his time in the NBA. With reference to Celebrity net worth, D-Wade net worth is $170 Million. During his NBA career, Dwyane earned $198 million in salary alone. He earned tens of millions of additional income through endorsements, primarily shoe contracts.

Wade’s shopping story starts since college, when he got Escalade with 26-inch rims, and he drove in the area.

In the beginning of his NBA career he didn’t have any advisor, because he didn’t know anyone, and most important he didn’t trust anybody. He had a plan in mind to save money, but spent his first earnings. Wade did it all alone and emphasizes that it is not very smart. His advice: “Have somebody that’s smarter than you that can help you with your money.”

He lost some money because of gambling, even he is not a big gambler. The money was lost not by the casino, but by playing cards with teammates on the plane.

First lesson: never gamble with other Heat players on the team plane. Losing money by gambling according to Wade is the worst way to lose money.

Second lesson: Save your money. In episode of Men’$ Wealth, D-Wade dives into the best and worst money he’s ever spent – including the 16 cars he got rid of.

One of the best advice he got is that to get rid of stuff he doesn’t need or use, that depreciate value. Now Wade has only one car, he most modern and up-to-date Audi Q8.

His advice: A failure to plan is a plan to fail.

Wade is also involved with many charities. He founded The Wade’s World Foundation in 2003, which supports community organizations that promote education, skills, and health for at-risk children.

In February 2020, Dwyane and Gabrielle paid $20 million for a massive mansion in Hidden Hills, California. The home, which is 22,000 square-feet, has three floors, home theater, poolside cabana, infinity pool and 12-car garage equipped with an automatic turntable for easy vehicle access. Their previous home, which they still own, is a $6 million mansion in Sherman Oaks, which they bought in 2018. The couple also continue to own a waterfront Miami mansion that Dwyane bought when he was on the Heat in 2010 for $10.7 million. They listed this house for sale in 2019 for $32.5 million
