Zenit, Andrew Albicy edge Zalgiris in a close-fought “battle”

Zenit prevailed against Zalgiris Kaunas in overtime (76-75), putting an end to a six-game losing streak. The Russians came back from a first quarter 15-point deficit to get a surprise win against the “red-hot” Kaunas’ team.

Zenit made a 10-4 run in the last three minutes of the overtime to edge the Lithuanian club. Zalgiris, that lost just for the second time in the last 8 games, dropped to 12-16 in the EuroLeague standings.

On the other hand, Zenit improved to 8-20 with Andrew Albicy leading the Russians to the win. In particular, he dropped a career-high 19 points including the two last-second free throws that secured the victory for his team. He also added 5 rebounds and 4 assists to his impressive showing.
