The NBA has fined Boston Celtics’ guard Marcus Smart 35.000$, after a verbal altercation he had with a referee in Tuesday’s OT loss against the Nets.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke out the news on Smart’s fine Thursday, and CBS Boston said that the NBA confirmed it shortly after. Smart fouled out on the 129-120 loss in overtime and had to be restrained by two members of the Celtics’ coaching staff, while shouting at referee John Goble.
