James and Tatum claim Player of the Month awards for February

Lebron James and young star Jayson Tatum continue their dominance this season, with both claiming Player of the Month in the West and East respectively.

Tatum, 22, has been on stellar form since returning from the All-Star game in Chicago averaging 30.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists, with 4.3 3 pointers made per game, leading Boston to 9 wins out of their last 12. This is Tatum’s first Player of the Month award for this season and also his career.

James, 35, on his return from his 16th All-Star game, has led the Lakers to 8 wins out of 10 games, with one of those being a crucial home win over Tatum’s Celtics. He has been averaging a near triple-double with 26 points, 8.1 assists and 10.1 rebounds per game, claiming his second consecutive Western Conference Player of the Month in the process.
