Zalgiris Kaunas maintains playoff push against Khimki

Zalgiris Kaunas continued its hot-streak of basketball by winning against Khimki, 96-85. The Lithuanians got an early big-lead (39-21) in the 1st half and never looked back until the end of the regulation.

Sarunas Jasikevicius’ squad, which improved to 12-15, maintained its great form by shooting the lights-out. In particular, Zalgiris had an impressive 71% on 2-point FG%, while making 14 threes in 28 attempts.

Khimki tried to get back in the game in third quarter, but in the end, they fell short dropping to 12-15.

In Moscow, CSKA prevailed against Zenit (86-78) behind Mike James incredible performance. Namely, CSKA’s guard finished the game with 27 points, taking over in the second half.

CSKA improved to 18-9, whereas Zenit remained at the bottom of the standings (7-20).
