Jimmy Butler has his say after Miami becomes the only team to beat the Bucks twice this season

The Milwaukee Bucks went into Monday night’s game against the Miami Heat with just eight defeats to their name, one of those being a loss to Erik Spoelstra’s team from early on in the season. And they left South Beach with another reverse, courtesy of the Heat, after the Southeast Division outfit managed to hold reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo to 13 points in the 105-89 loss.

The Heat are now the only team to have beaten Milwaukee twice this season and are 4-2 against the three teams above them so far (Bucks, Raptors, Celtics), with both of their losses coming against Boston. Their dominance against the Eastern Conference’s top side was certainly a statement, but Jimmy Butler’s reaction was one of humility as the star acknowledged the Bucks have been special this term.

“Anybody could be beaten on any given day,” he declared, per the Sun-Sentinel. “We made some shots, got some stops. They made some shots. That’s a really good team over there. They’ve been really doing great things… both home and away. We take away from this that we can compete at the highest level. But we know that we have to play this way every day from here on out.”

The Heat have won their last three games, following a poor period that saw them win just two of the six heading into the weekend. They will hope to make it four in a row when they face Florida neighbors Orlando on Wednesday night, ahead of their showdown with Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday.
