The Dallas Mavericks have suspended guard Delonte West following the team’s pre-season victory over Houston Rockets on Monday.
The information, obtained from an ESPN source states that West’s suspension stems from an outburst in the Mavericks locker room following the 123-104 win over the Rockets. West had two points, two assists and a rebound in 16 minutes on court.
“Dallas Mavericks guard Delonte West has been suspended for conduct detrimental to the team,” Carlisle said in a statement but he did not reveal when West’s suspension would be lifted.
West did send several Tweets apologising for his actions but has since deleted the messages.
