Coming after a championship season with the Toronto Raptors, Danny Green joined another team that has very high expectations. Naturally, he is expected to perform too.

The three-point shooter admits he hasn’t been the guy he needed to be. Being an established shooter does not help because teams are putting extra effort to stop him, Green said, per Melissa Rohlin of Sports Illustrated:

“This year, I haven’t been the specialist that I’ve needed to be,” Green said. “Still getting better, still perfecting it. But nothing in this league is easy to do, especially when people know what you’re good at. They’re going to try to limit that, take that away from you.”

This season, the 32-year-old shooting guard is averaging 8.5 points (making 38% of 3-pointers) and 3.4 rebounds per game.
