Nikola Mirotic stuns CSKA Moscow; leads Barcelona to the playoffs

Nikola Mirotic hit the game-winning two-pointer and helped Barcelona stun CSKA Moscow (80-82) and advance to the playoffs.

The Catalans improved to 20-6 and secured their spot in the postseason. On the other hand, the Muscovites fell to 17-9 and are fifth in the standings.

In the other matches, already-qualified Anadolu Efes rallied past ALBA Berlin (86-99) and set a new EuroLeague record, earning its 12th consecutive road win.

The Turks now are at 23-3, whereas the Germans dropped to 9-17.

In Tel-Aviv, Scottie Wilbekin made the three-pointer, with 10.6 seconds to go, and led Maccabi to a dramatic 71-70 victory over Olympiacos.

The Israelis raised their record to 18-8 and are fourth on the table. For their part, the “Reds” missed the opportunity to maintain a playoff push and now are at 11-15.

In Saint Petersburg, Bayern defeated Zenit (68-77) and snapped a four-game losing streak. Both teams have already been eliminated. The Bavarians now have an 8-18 record, whereas the Russians dropped to 7-19.

Baskonia bounced back from its recent losses and dominated Crvena Zvezda (71-56) to remain alive in the playoff race. Both teams now have identical records (10-16).
