Rockets’ superstar Russell Westbrook recently expressed what he thinks about Rookie of the Year title front runner Ja Morant. According to him, Grizzlies’ rookie has all the characteristics of becoming a top class athlete in the NBA, demonstrating similar type of play like Westbrook himself.
“Ja [Morant] is going to be a great player, and he is an unbelievable talent who is having a great year. With his athleticism, the way he plays and moves on the court, along with his intensity, there are some similarities there between him and myself,” Rockets’ explosive point guard told.
The rookie helped his team become strong candidates for the playoffs seat this season. The Grizzlies are currently in 8th place in the Western Conference with a 28-30 record.
