Bradley Beal scored 53 points in a loss the Chicago Bulls on Saturday. The following day he poured in 55 points against the Milwaukee Bucks, but once again the Wizards lost the game.

The Nets repeatedly double-teamed Beal, forcing him to rely on teammates to make open shots, including on the most important possession of the game. The Wizards got the ball down by a point with 24.2 seconds remaining in the game, and the Nets once again had two defenders go to Beal to force someone else to beat them. He passed it Jerome Robinson, who did just that, knocking down an open three to give the Wizards a 108-106 lead.

Spencer Dinwiddie missed a three-pointer for Brooklyn and Washington iced the game at the free throw line.

Beal finished the game with 30 points on 11-24 shooting. He also had five assists, five rebounds and three steals.

The win means that Washington is only five games behind Brooklyn as they battle for a playoff spot. With 25 games remaining in the regular season, the Wizards are hanging around and still have time to make a run.
