Burstein calls it quits

Israeli Tal Burstein has announced his retirement from professional basketball at the age of 32.

He has won two Euroleague titles with Maccabi Electra Tel-Aviv (2004,2005) and while spending his final two seasons with the Israeli giants, he reached a Euroleague Final Four in 2011.

Burstein has also won a total of 10 Israeli national titles and an Adriatic League crown.

The veteran shooting guard left Maccabi in 2009 and signed for Spanish club Fuenlabrada, but he returned to the Israelis a year later. In his final season, he averaged six points domestically and three points in the Euroleague.

Burstein was an international player as well, last playing for Israel at Eurobasket 2011 in Lithuania, averaging two points a contest.
