Can Zion Williamson win the Rookie of the Year award this season? The number pick of the 2019 NBA Draft is putting impressive performances since making his debut earlier this year. To win the award Zion would have to beat Ja Morant.
Morant’s teammate in Memphis, Jaren Jackson Jr. does not see how Williamson could win the ROY. Simply because the Girzzlies’ point guard played much more games and has been racking Rookie of the Month awards.
Williamson is averaging 22.4 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 11 games so far. Meanwhile Morant is putting 17.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 6.9 assists over 50 games.
