Milwaukee Bucks will resign Ersan Ilyasova!

The Turkish forward after a series of meetings, one of them with the owner Herb Khol, seems be headed to Wisconsin to continue his NBA career.

Ilyasova was a breakout player last season averaging almost a double-double while shooting 45% form three point land. This, coupled with his all hustle approach, was enough for the Bucks to offer him a 45 million dollar contract for the next five seasons, with the last year reportedly a team option.

Iyasova was the priority of the offseason for the Bucks, and comparing his contact versus others signed in this free agency, the price seems fair.

Thanks to his skills Ersan is a good fit in every type of team, but this Bucks side doesn’t seems to have logic built in this way. Coach Skiles has never loved a fast pace but with Jennings and Monta Ellis in the backcourt the pace could not be too slow, just to make an understatement.

In the draft they have selected John Henson, a shot-blocker with similar skills to those of other Bucks, namely Ekpe Udoh, Larry Sanders and newly acquired Samuel Dalembert, so the front court will be best suited to defense.

Ilyasova’s role will be almost certainly that of featured attacker from the power forward position, where he could be a matchup nightmare for several defenders.
