The Clippers to reportedly sign Reggie Jackson after buyout from Pistons and beat Lakers in race for his signature. On February 18, 2020, Jackson (age 29) was waived by the Detroit Pistons after contract buy out agreement was reached. He averaged 16.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists while shooting .425 from the field and .354 from three-point range in 299 games (293 starts) during his time with Detroit.

Jackson – whom the Lakers reportedly sought to sign, according to Wojnarowski – would give the Clippers another capable playmaker, something Coach Doc Rivers has noted his team could use several times this season.

Kendrick Perkins, who is NBA analyst for ESPN and other networks, thinks that it’s not bargain sign for the Clippers after all.
