Historical golden treble for Chalon in France

Chalon completed the most incredible season in franchise history after finishing the year in France with a golden treble.

The team of Bulgarian forward Ilian Evtimov won the French PRO A League after overcoming Le Mans 95-76 at “Bercy” in Paris. For the first time after its founding in 1970 Chalon became champion of the country. Less than a month ago Chalon triumphed with the Cup of France, and before that – with the Federation trophy.

The title in French PRO A gives the club directly a spot in Euroleague group phase for 2012/2013.

29-years old Evtimov, who has one more year of his contract with Chalon, scored 15 points against Le Mans, including the last basket of the title game. The season was great for Bulgarian swingman. Chalon won the Cup thanks to his 28 pts over Limoges on 20th May in Paris – a game, which gave him the MVP award.
