In a recent interview with Lakers Fanclub UK, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Talen Horton-Tucker spoke about his feelings of becoming a Laker and making his NBA debut.
He also spoke about LeBron James and Anthony Davis, after being questioned on the link through Klutch Sports. Klutch Sports represents all three players at hand. More specifically, Horton-Tucker was asked about what it’s like to be around superstars James and Davis on a regular basis.
“Just being with them, throughout the pre-draft and actually becoming a Laker. With that happening it’s given me a chance to actually see those guys every day and just be able to see how hard they work. The work they put in to become who they are. I feel like it’s been a great opportunity for me to actually see this at a young age. That could help me stay in the league.”
When quizzed about his reaction to meeting James and Davis for the first time, Horton-Tucker stated that he was starstruck at first. But he now sees them every day and is used to them.
“I feel like it’ll be like any other kid that plays basketball, be a little bit starstruck at first. They come around. You see them every day and you start getting used to them and they start getting used to you. It’s cool.”
The 19-year-old has regularly been seen in the presence of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. On the sidelines at a WNBA game in Las Vegas during the summer, whilst out for dinner, and in regular senior team photos.
