After the surprising retirement from basketball, Darren Collison would seem close to a surprising return. In fact, the player, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, will meet his agent next week to decide whether to return to the NBA. Among the franchises interested in Darren Collison, there would be the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers in the front row. The player in fact, besides being a native of California, would have scheduled meetings with both losangeline teams. Jeanie Buss, owner of the Los Angeles Lakers, also hosted the 32-year-old at Thursday’s game against the Houston Rockets.

The reasons for his early retirement

Darren Collison‘s decision to retire last summer to focus on his family and religion had left everyone perplexed. Last June, the player had expressed his motivations for such a drastic decision. “I am one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and my faith means everything to me. I receive so much joy from volunteering to help others and participate in a world ministry. The joy I feel is unmatched”, Collison had explained.

His retirement had come after an excellent season played with the Indiana Pacers. Despite his no younger age, the player would be one of the best free agents available if he decided to return to American parquet again.
