The Warriors trade Alec Burks, Glenn Robinson III to the 76ers

The Golden State Warriors are sending Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for draft compensation, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The draft compensation the Warriors are receiving includes three second-round picks in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Burks and Robinson were held out of the Warriors’ game tonight against the Brooklyn Nets in anticipation that they would be traded.

Both players will provide the 76ers with some much needed bench scoring and shooting.

Burks is having a career-year, averaging 16.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game, while shooting 37.5 percent from three-point.

Robinson is also enjoying a career-year, averaging 12.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, while shooting 40.0 percent from three-point.

The 76ers are also working on other trades in order to create the roster spots that are needed to add Burks and Robinson.
