Jan Vesely for the third in a row; Fenerbahce attacks the Top 8

Jan Vesely was the man of the match in Fenerbahce’s win against Zenit with a score of 73:68 in the round 23 of the EuroLeague.

The Turkish squad scored the third victory in a row and now is attacking the spot in the Top 8 of the best European basketball club competition.

Fenerbahce started the season poorly due to the problems with the injuries of the main players. But now, the squad is getting into shape and is seriously attacking Top 8.

The best scorer for Fenerbahce was Leo Westermann with 13 points, but Jan Vesely was the MVP of the game with 11 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists (index rating of 19). Kostas Sloukas scored 12 points and Luigi Datome finished the match with 11.

For Zenit, both Gustavo Ayon (index rating of 20) and Austin Hollins (index rating of 11) scored 16 points. Besides the aforementioned players, two more finished the game with 10+ points – Will Thomas (13 points) and Tim Abromaitis (10 points).

In the next round of the EuroLeague, Fenerbahce will host Maccabi Tel Aviv and Zenit is traveling to Athens to face Panathinaikos.
