Dirk Nowitzki says he is “completely at peace” with retirement

Dallas Mavericks Legend Dirk Nowitzki admitted he is “completely at peace” with his decision to retire at the end of the 2018/19 season.

“Instead, I kept looking out there and I didn’t feel anything. I can honestly say I didn’t miss it at all. I couldn’t picture myself being out there. I guess that shows I’m completely at peace with it.

I’m very happy, and busy. I would have thought I would have slowed down by now, but I really haven’t,” Nowitzki told The Dallas Morning News this week.

Nowitzki spent his entire career with the Mavericks, leading Dallas to the 2011 NBA Championship.
