A fan of the Los Angeles Lakers legend, the late Kobe Bryant, started a petition to make the ‘Black Mamba’ jersey part of the Lakers’ permanent rotation.
The ‘Black Mamba’ jersey were designed by Bryant in collaboration with Nike and were unveiled in 2017 as the City Edition jerseys.
The petition also includes a quote from Kobe as he spoke about the ‘Black Mamba’ jerseys: “It was fun to help create it. It means something right when you look it. And if you’re a Lakers fan, you know what it means.”
