Participation in the Olympic Games is something that most athletes consider an honor and a personal goal. Dwyane Wade seems to think otherwise.
Dirk Nowitzki had once said that playing in the Olympic Games was a dream of his and a great honor. Dirk even had an appropriate haircut during the German NT’s participation in the Beijing Olympics.
Dwyane Wade on the other hand focuses on the financial aspect and says that the NBA players should be getting paid for their participation in the Olympic Games.
“It’s a lot of things you do for the Olympics, a lot of jerseys you sell. We play the whole summer. I do think guys should be compensated. Just like I think college players should be compensated as well. Unfortunately, it’s not there. But I think it should be something, you know, there for it.” Wade stated.
