Fenerbahce Ulker agreed terms with Turkish International Mehmet Okur until the end of the season. The club has an option for an additional year and the player an NBA opt-out.
Mehmet Okur started the season with the New Jersey Nets, but didn’t play any games due to a lower back injury. As he was nearing recovery he was part of the Gerald Wallace trade that sent him to Portland were he was waved after a couple of days.
Okur (a Yalova native) has tweeted about Fenerbahce numerous times, will finally play for the team of his heart. Reportedly he will be earning $50.000 per month until the end of the season.
