The Atlanta Hawks have expressed trade interest in Houston Rockets center Clint Capela, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

He also adds that the Rockets have taken calls from several teams, but are unlikely to deal him unless they receive an “overwhelming” offer.

Capela is averaging 13.9 points and 13.8 rebounds (fourth in the league) per game, while shooting 62.9 percent from the field (fifth in the league).

The Hawks have also been linked to other big men around the league including Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons, Steven Adams of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dewayne Dedmon of the Sacramento Kings.

The talks between Drummond and the Hawks started in early January before they eventually broke down, as the team stopped pursuing him.

The Hawks have only recently reportedly shown interest in Adams and Dedmon.

Charania also notes that a number of teams are monitoring Hawks big man John Collins and “feeling out” Atlanta’s asking price.

Collins is viewed as a long-term piece of the Hawks’ future, but Charania suggests that the team may need a more natural center.
